Services
Turning- We have a lathe capacity of 162'' between centers by 18'' over the cross slide and 28'' swing of the bed. Our machines are equipped with DRO (digital read out) for accurate measurements. Our CNC lathe allows us to produce precision parts in succession.
Milling & Drilling - We have CNC milling capabilities equipped with DRO to ensure accurate movement of parts and axis required to produce precision splines, key seats, lock slots, and custom shapes.
Straightening - We have manual and hydraulic means of straightening rolls made from various materials.
Reconditioning - We provide our customers with complete receiving inspection of used rolls & bearings to verify that reconditioning will result in parts that are within your specified tolerance. If we can not recondition your parts within your tolerance, we will discuss with you how you would like to proceed based on our findings and your needs.
Static Balancing - Performed on rolls of tubular construction when there is reason to verify that they are equally balanced.
Grinding - (centerless & cylindrical) Our grinders are equipped with Arnold gauges, allowing us to accurately determine the size of the diameter, how straight the part is, and how round the part is during our grinding operation. Our maximum capacity is 12" O.D. and 14' length.
Fabrication, Welding and Sweat fitting - Worn or damaged journals can often be built up, sleeved, or sweat fitted to extend the useful life of the part.
Inspection - In order to assure that you are receiving the best quality possible, our quality assurance process includes hardness testing, surface finish (RA), and T.I.R. while in process, all of which are documented. We also do a complete final inspection to certify our work.
Certification - We require certification on ALL materials and/or processes required to complete your parts to specification. We also perform and document key aspects at multiple intervals throughout our processing. We are always happy to supply you with copies of our internal inspections and material certs.
Pick up & Delivery - Where economically feasible, Master Roll Mfg's will pick up and deliver parts with minimal charge. Normally, we limit this service to within a 150 mile radius of our shop.
Outside Services- We work with outside vendors to provide certified hardening, plating, and coating to your specification.
